Do you ever catch yourself saying “I’m busy!” but you really feel as if you’ve gotten nothing done of any real importance?
When someone asks you how business is going, do you reply with “Gosh! I’ve been so busy, it’s crazy! I feel like I’ve been chained to my business!”
We’ve all done that, and more than just a few times, right?
So much so, that it almost becomes a conditioned response and a part of the way we think about the work we do.
But, did you know that you might be lying to yourself – in at least 5 different ways – and that you could be a lot more productive and efficient with work and have for more time for your personal life, if only you put a stop to those lies?
Bryan Caporicci took time to talk with me about this topic, which certainly opened my eyes to a better way of doing things!
About Our Guest: Bryan Caporicci
With me on today’s show is Bryan Caporicci – a very successful wedding and portrait photographer and photography mentor from Ontario, Canada.
He’s won numerous awards for his photography and was one of the youngest photographers in Canada to receive the craftsman of photographic arts from the professional photographers of Canada.
Not only is he well-known for his wedding photography, Bryan also invests a lot of his time mentoring and helping other photographers with their businesses through his photography education website where he publishes insightful business articles and has his own great podcast too.
The Lie Of Busy Video
Here’s a video that Bryan and I talk about in the interview, which Bryan created with his business partner Robert Nowell, in which they asked a group of people in a nursing home about their perspective on work, the idea of being “busy”, and what they might change if they could live life over again.
Very compelling stuff, and it certainly makes you stop and think!

Closing Thoughts By Paulo Coelho
One day, you will wake up and there won’t be any more time to do the things you’ve always wanted. Do it now…
What did you do today towards achieving the goals you set for yourself in your photography business?
Do you ever go to bed at night sad at how little you actually got done, but exhausted from spinning your wheels and going nowhere?
Of course, there’s always tomorrow, right?
Unfortunately, tomorrow never comes, and there will always be things to distract you and divert you away from the path you should be on.
So, instead of procrastinating, make the decision to get it done.
Now!
